an absence of words

So you hold your 'flight' instinct

In a tightly closed fist

Let's all pretend this is for the best

Even when I carried your worst and

Never considered giving up on you

Can you just give me answers; closure; any kind of words?

(Evaporating memories are the only thing I have left)

“Can you just give me answers; closure; any kind of words?”- the pleading and yearning for a response is all the more powerful for the absence of a reply:/ You’re all over this challenge Poppy!

    Evaporating memories, but lived experience.

  • Another great entry to the Silence challenge 🤩. So sad: “ Evaporating memories are the only thing I have left”
