Letting go

The circle of life

The sun will rise and then will set

The circle of life is no secret

Everything must run its course

Even if you’re not done yet

Leaves will fall with no remorse

Water will flow from its source

Seasons turn and birds will fly

Winds will calm without a force

The echo will eventually die

Becomes empty with no reply

Love and loss go hand in hand

While letting go stands idly by

Drawing circles in the sand

The tide comes in, resets the land

What’s fertile now where flowers grow

Will dry and slip right through your hand

A part of life that we all know

Is love and loss and letting go

Sometimes lessons come too slow

And often the scars will never show
