Letters to the Moon

Let the wind carry my secrets, hopes and fears

Letters to the Moon

I write to the moon,

every night,

my pen bleeding onto paper,

I tell it my fears.

My dreams, my love,

my grief, my secrets,

my silent cries,

all of it.

It listens,

silent, patient,

a guardian of all I cannot say,

I fold the letters.

Place them in the wind,

in hope they reach you,

carried over rooftops,

through the quiet sky.

I watch the stars,

hoping for a reply,

their light steady,

calm, a small comfort.

I feel less alone,

even in the dark,

the moon holds my words,

safe and quiet.

I trust it will carry them,

and when they reach you,

my heart will follow,

my soul calmed, my mind at peace.

My dear reader, thank you for your support and letting me share with you the love of my life, an insight into my thoughts and feelings, God bless you.
