A soldier's memories of home and loved ones,

Kept alive through letters sent from home.

A lifeline in times of loneliness,

A beacon of hope when all else is unknown.

Through every deployment and endless tour,

These letters bring comfort and cheer.

Reminding us of all that we're fighting for,

And the loved ones who are always near.

We pour our hearts out on the page,

Sharing tales of battles won and lost.

We laugh, we cry, we show our rage,

And at times, we just need to boast.

But most of all, these letters mean

That we are never truly alone.

For as long as they keep coming in,

Our loved ones' love will be shown.

So send us your letters, oh please do!

For they are the one thing that keeps us true

To the ones we love, and the life we knew,

Before we were called to serve and protect, for you.
