Letter

This is a letter,

I write to a soul.

Of times lost and forgotten,

I promise, I’ll tell all.

It all begins,

With a cry.

From a voice, from a heart

Once thought too shy.

She had wanted her freedom,

He had wanted her love.

In the end they found each other,

Each fitting like a glove.

About a year later,

She waits at his door.

Wonders of what had happened,

If love existed anymore.

Maybe she was not enough,

Her Ruler advised.

He had moved on,

Gone astray,

It was all a matter of time.

Now,

She waits for an answer.

From you, from anyone,

Anything that moves faster

Than the love she gives away.

My Lord, that girl

And her heart have so much to say.

Write her back,

And see what she thinks.

Maybe she loves you,

Just watch the way she blinks.

But love like a flower,

Such a delicate thing.

It withers away,

Give it good water to drink.

Hope with laughter is always the best cure.

But to fix a broken heart,

You must know how to fix her.

Write her a letter,

And let her know,

That in this world,

No beautiful heart should ever be alone.

And please, send her my regards,

I wish to know how she is.

Tell her I miss her.

I want to see what beauty really is.
