a poem

What has happened was black,

What will happen is gold;

Let us never look back,

Let us never get old,

Let us always forgive,

Let us never forget,

Just like Adam and Eve

We are naked and wet,

Let us know you are sorry,

Let us in from the cold,

Let us tell you a story

That has never been told;

It is not that the fruit

Wasn’t worth the exile -

That’s the point that’s been moot

For a while, for a while -

Let us win all the bets,

Let us have what we need,

Yes, we may be your pets,

Very special breed,

We were born in September

When dusk turned to dawn -

Let us always remember

Let us always move on.
