Let The Hurt out
Only when you let out the tears can you start to heal

Break down the walls of silence,
speak out, shout,
tell the world your hurt;
only then may you start to heal.
Keeping it bottled inside,
you know that's not right.
The one who made you suffer,
with his fists,
could have taken your life that night.
If drinking fueled his rage,
and made him want to fight,
why didn’t you run away?
You could have died that day.
when the postman found you,
lying there in your own blood,
you said you had fallen down the steps.
Oh dear,
why did you protect him?
Why are you still here?
He might come back and find you;
get out fast, my dear.
be glad he left you for another;
thank your lucky stars.
Let it all out to the universe,
let karma heal your scars.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
