not sweet

maybe i imagined it

sobbing

that place i lost

that haven i made in my mind

the value versus the cost

and what that means to find

what it means to me and the frost

we all have a piece of unthawed cold inside

joke and laugh all you want

if you've never felt the chill we hide

in summers rains

we bound with glee

and in the winters

this play deserts us

the memories preserve us

and until then

we look

we watch
