Let's Be Friend

I know the blood runs in your veins,

I know my blood runs just the same,

Your heart it feels the warmth of love,

Your eyes they see the rising sun,

Your hand can touch and feel mine too,

For I'm a person just like you,

No matter where I may be born,

No matter what my color warn,

No matter how my face has shape,

I feel the sorrow, love and hate,

For I can see the moving clouds,

The clouds they cry with tears of pain,

To see beneath them - such a shame,

How each and every person is,

to one another throughout the years…

Within my shoes please place your feet,

And take the steps while I walk the streets,

You'll feel the blisters as I walk,

The words I whisper as I talk,

You'll see the world just as I see,

So please my friend just let me be,

The person that I am inside,

Please don't make me run and hide,

Allow your visions to be clear,

And listen to the words you hear,

All I ask....

Is to be your friend

And embrace our true colors

Until the end...

We're all people you and me

In this world together we

can walk united forever free…
