Weakening thoughts,
I don’t give them power.
I try not to feel sorry for
more than an hour.
The birds are calling;
A frog just croaked.
I embrace it and walk
right on through.
Down the path with
flowers to feel brand new.
I envy the way trees
bend with ease
and not break.
I strive to be
that flexible
someday.
To not have to
escape to clear
my mind.
Totally unbothered—
Like the wind.
It flies by
no matter
the sins going
on around.
Let me be still
as a lake before
I toss in a pebble.
And drown
unwanted noise.
In this moment,
I choose peace.
I choose me.
Please,
weakening
thoughts…
let
me
be.
Let me enjoy the scenery…

Love this. “I envy the way trees bend with ease and not break.” Oh but you are that strong too. So much strength in your words.
Beautiful! I feel this, especially "Totally unbothered—Like the wind. It flies by no matter the sins going on around." 💙👏✍️💙
