Lessons in Life
Growing up has ups and downs and it's still early

I trip through my 22nd year.
The past years had ups and downs,
But they filled my head with lessons
That could be tools to put together the lives of others.
When you have dreams you want to succeed in,
File them in "hobbies" so you'll have more space
Saved for academics and bill-paying.
Speaking of work,
Deadlines are never assigned
For when to find employment,
But TV shows lied about the difficulty.
It's normal to feel down at a dead end,
But you're supposed to apply for more dead ends
If it means you'll be a normal grown-up.
Maybe you make friends online,
Maybe you type to talk,
But as long as your parents don't see your friends,
You're brainless when it comes to talking to people.
When someone is comfortable with a chore done alone
And solitude keeps you pulled away from discomfort,
You're a lazy degenerate that needs a painted smile
When encountered with bits that don't make you happy.
Jokes don't have to make you laugh,
They just need the label attached to accusations
That keeps you demoted from dignity.
Everyone experiences the world differently,
But unless your struggles are stapled all over,
You have to be shoved out to succeed
Because you don't really benefit the family.
Life's still young
And the world has more unexplored,
But as long as the lessons stick by my side
And I leave space for more neighboring lessons,
I'll survive in the world for much longer

I'm not the most sophisticated adult out there. I'm also not the best at communicating all the time, but I do try my best to get my thoughts out there into the world verbally or nonverbally.
