Lessons from a Seasoned Investor
Benefits of a Diversified Long-term Strategy

With investing, I observe the market's dance,
Company earnings reports put me in a trance.
Economic statistics are released like a river's flow,
Will I lose, or will it be a time to sow?
As a plethora of data is released
Earnings are never guaranteed.
Still, I observe with a hawk's keen sight,
For gains or losses in the night.
Information is addicting and often sweet,
My investor’s heart experiences a rapid beat.
Other investors whisper, sounding like a diverse choir,
Compounding gains generate a calm desire.
Time reveals the market's art,
A lesson learned leads to a change of heart.
A long-term strategy is a wiser play,
Diversify and prevent time decay.
Minimizing my efforts, which impose a heavy toll,
Buy and hold is a straightforward path for the soul.
A portfolio blooms, like flowers in May,
It's a patient game, so let it sway.
Compounding allows me to enjoy a steady climb,
Lessons learned with the hands of time.
The journey ends as it began,
A seasoned investor, a wiser man.

I really like all the imagery used here to make the stock market and trading more accessible to the general reader. So many great lines, like “A portfolio blooms, like flowers in May, It’s a patient game, so let it sway.” Good luck in the challenge😊
