Lemons

When life gives you lemons,

Make lemon meringue pie.

Crack the eggs and bear them,

And whip those egg whites high.

Take out all your frustrations,

Until they're stiff and peaked.

Then bake it in the oven,

For a delicious, yummy treat.

When life gives you lemons,

Slice them up with a knife.

And add them to a glass,

With several cubes of ice.

Add a splash of gin,

Some vodka or some rum,

And with every sip remember,

All the good things you have done.

When life gives you lemons,

Don't get down, don't give up.

The fact life gave you anything,

Should be more than enough.

Don't dwell on the bad things,

Give those thoughts the boot.

And when life gives you lemons,

Say, "Thanks, life, for the fruit."
