Summer nights in Maine
Cousins
Spring and Summer in Maine.
There’s no better place to be than Maine this time of year.
Sitting outside taking in the sun,
Writing, drawing and taking in those rays.
We're Irish
We burn.
Most of us use 50-100 baby SPF lotion.
My family, we’re all the same at the core.
Gram and Grampy left us a legacy.
Keep living it up,
Sitting in the sun.
But we only have time for love, no hate.
Ordering Sev’s and lounging by the pool.
Thinking we’re so cool.
Us Irish use the pool as our cooler.
Eat ; drinking, playing games by the pool.
Sun soaked, we all head home.
To prepare for our summer nights.
One of us is having a fire, something we all desired.
Relaxing by the fire, smoking and sharing stores.
Taking shots or playing games.
Damn how’d we all get so high?
We all look over at the culprit
Laugh!!!
We all have so much fun together,
Taking the summer sun as it crosses the horizon line.
None of us want this night to end.
That’s why we can’t let any of this end.
Our family.
Us cousins, boy we have fun.
We could tell you stories for days.
This is our glory and legacy to take.
Let’s make it all of ours.
So we can do this when we want.
Make new traditions and keep our old ones.
For Gram and Grampy , we honor tonight and all our nights together to you.
We miss you.
