Leaving

When it becomes too much

By Karen QuinnPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I’m leaving now can’t you see,

This won’t work with you and me,

I will always love you still,

But we can’t work I’ve had my fill,

The confusion, trauma and hurt,

Has made me totally avert,

What I should be following myself within,

My future goals to focus thin,

I’ll hold you dear inside my heart,

But for now we need to part,

With sadness my heart is broke,

But I must go while I’m still woke,

I need clarity to rise and go,

But I hope you will always know,

A part of you I take with me,

But for now I need to be free,

Don’t ever doubt my love for you,

My feelings are so very true,

I see through to your very soul,

But I need to make myself whole,

Maybe we will meet again,

I don’t know how and not sure when,

But a piece of you is inside of me,

With emotions as deep as the sea,

So when you want to reunite,

Then just let the passion reignite,

Until then I say goodbye,

Love you always beyond the sky❤️
