Leave Neverland

Take a Leap of Faith

"You've gotta grow up," the adults say,

Abandon youth and find your way,

Yet immature Peter yearned for eternal glee,

In endless games and jubilee.

Afraid of real commitment,

He chose fun over true love’s fulfillment,

He shied away from ties that bind,

So true love he couldn't find.

He watched as my heart began to stray,

My love unrequited, led me astray,

The pain of his indecision, a bitter pill,

As he clung to youth, and let love's flame grow still.

I asked for a leap of faith,

In destiny's hands I laid,

His childishness took over,

Yet with time's passage, I’ll seek to recover.
