Leaf of the Sea

who facilitates that positive development.

Change within,

Change without.

Find that feeling –

when the progression and order of life makes sense

and you understand

everything happens as it should,

when it should,

how it should;

and you understand

that life,

this conscious existence, is

You:

thoughts, behaviors, emotions -

internal,

external.

All commingle

to produce

You.

Understanding and adapting,

predicting or applying,

undermining and misinterpreting,

remembering,

forgetting,

ultimately and always

choosing,

that is life –

getting stuck in traffic,

finding a ticket under the windshield wiper after class,

having a child,

failing a test,

hating your job,

ignoring a friend,

holding a grudge,

letting go.

Choice is the ripple of life.

Each decision filtering out

exponentially

and carrying with it

the willows’ torn branches and leaves.

Rock stands strong.

Never moving,

growing,

changing.

Always against the ripple’s flow.

He waits

forever,

stuck on river’s edgy banks.

Leaf finds her way to sea –

flowing with

Water’s flow –

and she bathes in Universe’s eternal

Well of Wisdom.
