Layers of Sable

Defined by Color

By Cindy SlotePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I am Sable, quite misunderstood

Please let me explain as I would could and should

I’m both light and dark uniquely my own

There’s no one else like me so I stand alone

Black bleak and drab I seem at first glance

Yet hidden beneath rich colours that dance

I know on the surface I look plain and dull

But my heart is strong with magnetic pull

I give from my heart, show love where I can

I try to be courteous to my fellow man

I believe hugs given best given when warm

That only together do we weather a storm

Deep under each layer like layers of snow

Unfathomable depths difficult to know

And so I am sable look deeper and see

Like sable and layers there’s much more to me
