Last Train Back Home
Lonely Series Lightless Shadow -P1

#From today I am beginning a new series of poems
Lonely Series Lightless Shadow
P1 Last Train Back Home (poem)
The last hope, while I hop in
Just as the night dawns and light dims
It is the last train back home
The last chance to feel safe
Scattered thoughts separated within
Empty seats, dully filled heart, semi-filled stomach
Only the train would whisper and whistle
Can't sleep at least not deep
what if the train slips out of track?
My worn leather suitcase is already dreaming deep
Would someone steal mine?
I am asking these while no one is out around
The halt breaks all my inner voice
Kreeching it pleads me not go
Who is there for the train?
Yet it opened the doors with that hissing sound
smoking a breath of warm mood into the cold night
The only one to welcome, missing me back around
Other than me in the last train home
Rainy damp, A flickering station light
While I stumble out of the train
As I move out of the station
The muted sound of my departing train
I am now with an empty heart
looking at the empty station
still I'm moving as my eyes won't leave
looking at the traces of my last train back home
Until the next let it rest
alone like my solo eye hiding
cry soul off in the rain
