In a world where the undead held sway over the living, society had taken a surreal turn. Zombies, once the stuff of horror tales, now occupied positions of power and influence.
They shuffled through board meetings, grunted through political debates, and even managed to stumble into diplomatic negotiations. Among them was Victor, a young man struggling to survive in this bizarre reality.
Victor's stepfather, a high-ranking zombie official, had always been distant and indifferent, his rotting mind focused solely on his undead ambitions. Victor, on the other hand, clung to memories of a time when his step-father was still human, still capable of love and compassion.

Day 4 of Quitting
If this is how sobriety feels, maybe it’s better to go through life a little buzzed… this, along with other hits like, I want to kill myself, I wish I was dead, and I’m going to throw myself off a bridge have been the only thoughts on rotation these past few days. I promise myself that if, in a month, I still feel like this (‘this’ meaning despondent, full of rage, and simultaneously numb) I can go back to smoking. Until mid-February though? Nicotine is off the table.
