Land of Magic

Children of Trauma

By Katie L. KashanPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

In shadows deep where silence dwells,

A garden blooms beneath cracked shells.

Children of trauma, tender, worn,

Seeking solace where dreams are born.

The real world sharp with jagged edge,

A place of broken vow and pledge.

Eyes turn inward, far from harm,

To lands of magic, safe and warm.

Fields of stardust, skies of gold,

Where hearts are brave and never cold.

Dragons bow, and wild winds sing,

Mended souls on feathered wing.

They build their kingdoms out of light,

Cast from fragments of the night.

Each tale a fortress, bold and bright,

Against the world's unyielding bite.

Years unravel, seasons pass,

They carry dreams like fragile glass.

Daydream wanderers, eyes agleam,

Caught between the real and dream.

Some say they're lost, adrift in haze,

But they have learned a subtler maze—

One where wonder shapes the air

And wounded hearts are met with care.

For fantasy is not escape;

It’s a sanctuary they shape.

A place where fractured souls can mend

And find their way to dream again.
