Oh what a day,
My head is heavy,
My back is weak,
I step out into the darkened day, I ask:
“Lady Luna, why did I do everything wrong today?”
The grey clouds part ways, to revel Lady Luna to me,
Her gentle light caressed my hair, as she replied:
“You did your best today. That’s all you can do.”
Oh what a day,
My legs are heavy,
My knees are weak,
With a sigh on my lips and a limp in my gait, to the car I go,
As I journey onward into the night, Lady Luna follows me home,
From outside my window she watches, her bright light guiding the way,
I drive in silence, when I hear her say:
“Always remember, I’m here to light the way, down the darkest roads.”
Oh home at last,
My eyes are heavy,
My spirit is weak,
I fall to my bed, I see Lady Luna through the window pane,
She tucks me in with her loving light, she speaks to me again:
“Rest your eyes. You need not worry about tomorrow, for it is not here.”
I begin to drift into the sleeping void, I hear here whisper to me one last time:
“You need not worry. I shall be at your side the whole night through.”
