Like autumn leaves, our love descends, a scattered flight,
Whispers of promises, swept away by the cold night.
Each sonnet verse, a jagged shard, reflects the pain,
Of dreams dissected, left bleeding in the rain.
Beauty's melody silenced, now a mournful drone,
A garden overgrown, where weeds of sorrow have sown.
Your touch, a phantom warmth, ignites a fleeting spark,
Only to leave me colder, deeper in the dark.
Can fragmented verses mend, compose a new refrain?
Can love's sonnet find solace, rise above the pain?
Or will these broken lines forever bear the scar,
A testament to dreams lost, beneath a distant star?
