La vie est belle

Life is beautiful

La vie en rose

life was pretty in pink, the color of our joy

Back when we gathered by the tree

Beauty lived in lives that bloomed

In laughter and splendid things

I remember out the window, where once

Blue waves dashed on a cliff

Now blankets of white obscure our view

La vie en blanc...life in white

Above a Roaring sky that sways and sings

Once our childish faces, enraptured, looked up in awe

Grasping for wonder that filled our cups

With Life's devilish loveliness to share

Holiday Music played like fluted golden harps

Scent of pine by the fire, presents under the tree

Eyes that loved, arms that held each other together

Nostalgic sounds of Xmas cheer resounding happily

From Hearts Filled with spirit's untamed delight in joy

Holy thoughts on moonlit, clouded, or starry nights

We Demanded all we could for loveliness

Purchased it and never counted the cost;

For those perfect loving hours of peace

We now envision many a year of strife ever lost,

And for a stolen breath of ecstasy

We hold comfort to our memories

As we create new ones, a legacy for our dear ones

Forever forged side by side within our souls

Give all you have been, or could ever be

Remembering those who may not have families

To offer them words of holiday warmth and care

La vie est belle. La vie en rose. La vie en blanc

Life is beautiful. Life in pink (or any color which your heart desires).

May life in white colors of snow and gladness of hearts shared, and souls embraced in wonderous shades of holiday cheer, ring through the halls of time.

Even if we experience happy only in moments in-between. May life be always beautiful.
