Unforgotten

By Earl W. PearlPublished 3 years ago Updated 3 years ago 1 min read

Rain that was falling hid something appalling

A roadway as wicked as sin

Your life I’m recalling in hopes of forestalling

The sadness returning within

So tragic the time, reminiscent of crime

Our friendship was stolen by force

I’m spending this time, removing the grime

This darkness that comes with remorse

We’re chatting away, when the very next day

I’m hating the circle of life

For coping today, these words help allay

But your absence still cuts like a knife

So displeasing this taste, I’m writing in haste

To linger encourages gloom

The expression of waste for stating my case

A flower was robbed of its bloom

heartbreak

That was extremely well written and flowed like a river of soft sad silk. Sorry for your loss.
