Knowing your future, is it good or bad?

Would you feel the same as me?

Knowing your future, is it good or bad?

If tomorrow opened,

would I rejoice,

would I tremble,

would I run.

Would knowing bring calm,

or steal the joy,

would sorrow weigh heavier

if seen too soon.

Is mystery mercy,

is silence kind,

to let each day

surprise the heart.

If I saw the end,

would I walk at all,

or would I falter,

under the knowledge.

Joy is sweeter

when unexpected,

grief is sharper

when foretold.

Perhaps the unknown

is gift itself,

to live not burdened,

to breathe unchained.

For the path unseen

still lets me walk,

and each step feels mine,

until it stops.

Better the mystery,

better the chance,

to dance in the dark,

than not to dance.

Life is lighter

when tomorrow is hidden,

hope is stronger,

when the curtain stays closed.
