Knowing You

Infatuation

By Moni StaxxPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

I want to know you for who you are

How you've grown from where you were

The transgression into your future

Set apart from your past life

Broken free of generational curses

Standing true as the strong black man that you are

A son

A brother

A father

A husband... to someone

I want to see you past the pretty lighting of the photographs

A developed picture when the flash is off

Beyond the recordings and edits

No makeup

No perfect angles

Just you in perfect truth

I want to take a trip on your spaceship

Enjoy the journey to Oasis

Strengthen our vessel with the ebbs and flows

Enjoy the visuals until the ride ends

No destination

No directions

Just travel in all its beauty and glory

Hand over hand

Pilot and copilot

Ebony and Ivory

Peaches and Cream

Bonnie and Clyde... the 2012 Bonnie and Clyde
