Kissed by the Sun

Tale of an anomaly

She was kissed by the sun.

Heart open, glowing and full

of love to give.

Not looking to receive.

She could have saved the world

from itself. With the spark from her soul.

She sang with her eyes closed.

Always too much they said, or not enough at all.

Never in between.

That’s where she felt at ease. Outside the famished lines.

They could not understand, you see,

the bright lights were all inside of her.

Closing her eyes was the only way

she could see clear.

A vibrant creature untouched by the world.

Right when you did not expect it,

Her spirit would rise and consume you

with thoughts.

Utter brilliance.

Iris incandescent from the fire of the mind.

Quiet and completely radiant.

An inquisitive soul with the boldest of smiles.

Watch how she’ll grow

and shine.
