The music thrummed in my chest, a relentless rhythm,
Bodies writhe, losing constraints, as they embrace the melody.
Hiding in my dark alcove I watch like a King on my hedonistic throne.
Faces blur as they sway, limbs entwine as prayers to the Gods.
Closing my eyes, I surrender my sight to offer my own prayer,
The smell of sex and sweat.
The sound of the DJ’s beat.
The cool touch of the leather against my skin.
The taste of liquor passing my lips stoking the fire in my gut.
So lost in my offerings, the dark desires of the night,
Is when open my eyes to her ethereal beauty.
Long golden hair glistens as a beacon against her creamy ivory skin.
Time slows, her lithe feminine curves are accented as she descends into the throng.
She passes smelling of summer rain and warm sunshine.
My body betrays me as I stand to follow this angel,
Her celestial beauty parts the sea of souls as she makes her way to the center of the dance floor.
The DJ plays a subdued beat and her body sways.
When her crystal blue eyes lock onto my now devoted emerald gaze,
A smile so divine spreads across her Elysian lips.
My heart shudders in its cold prison, beguiled by her rays of sun.
It begins to beat to the rhythm of this enchantress’ hips,
She beckons me and as I step out from the shadows, visions dance in my peripherals.
Her superlunary beauty interlaced in my dark desires,
Our lips hovering is delicious proximity, creating a crepuscular glow.
My own cold dark grin sweeps up my now softening features,
Words fail, but they aren’t needed.
My hands glide up into her silken tresses, tilting her perfect lips as I claim them.
The world around us blurs, but we are in sharp focus.
She is my paradisiacal light; I am her Cimmerian darkness.
We lose ourselves in the assemblage of lost souls, the music soft and muted now.
Eternity in each other’s embrace.
