Kiss and Tell

Or maybe let’s not.

Kiss and Tell

Your lips found mine,

quiet and trembling,

a moment that burned,

in the centre of time.

We held that breath,

knowing what it meant,

knowing we should hide,

what lived in our hearts.

I never told a soul,

the story of that night,

our secret love waiting,

where only we return.

The room stayed warm,

long after we parted,

your touch still glowing,

against my skin.

Your name followed me,

through every morning light,

a gentle reminder,

of what we could not say.

Even now it lingers,

soft in the quiet,

drawing me backward,

to where love began.
