Kintsugi Bowl

The beauty of imperfection

By James SPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

I was

Dropped

Shattered

Broken

Then repaired

Like a kintsugi bowl

With golden seams

You are my gold

The glue of my existence

That holds the parts of me together

Giving form

Where there were only pieces

You are my gold

My gold

My everything

Without you

I am like a broken pot

Useless

Without a purpose

You are my gold

And make me who I am

More beautiful even

Than I was before

When I thought

I was whole

And perfect

Like a kintsugi bowl

I am

More beautiful for the gold

The seams

The cracks

The pieces

Held together
