Even the Sun remains envious.

We wade with the tide,

Us beneath with sand and sea.

Nomadic by choice.

*

In these vast moments,

I see cracks between ourselves.

Glimpse of gold to fill.

*

On the horizon-

The Sun surly, and cowers.

Envious our gild.

*

Through these trials we-

radiate, repair, and shine;

Imperturbable.

*

We aren’t inchoate,

Our form remains a joint shape.

Never separate.

*

Anjure at our feet,

Ascending like a mountain.

Peak in our vision.

*

Sun disavows us,

Then, astutes her molten flare.

Us; lugubrious.

*

Although we cower,

Our gilded flaws still remain,

Ineffable Sun.

*

No further way down-

Our fall cannot do more harm,

Unlike bilked sun.
