Kindness and weakness

Kindness is special,

It’s the way you should be,

Treat everyone with respect,

And equally,

But if they disrespect you,

Show them inside,

You are not to be trifled with,

You will not abide,

Treating people nicely,

Is what you should do,

But set boundaries,

And they should too,

Give each other the best,

An equal exchange,

But if they should mess,

Then show them the change,

From meek to lion,

From squeak to roar,

Expression is shifting,

Show them the door,

Don’t let anyone break you,

The courage within,

Show them the strength,

The mighty begins,

The power inside,

The heart in your chest,

Will show them no weakness,

Only the best,

So don’t take advantage of kindness,

Because it will backfire,

And burn you up,

In a raging pyre.
