Killing Me… Again & Again

Desire,

I want you to leave,

but you stay‐

You torment me to an extent that's hard to believe...

starting fires and stirring up trouble,

parting me out and dispersing what remains amongst the rubble

of what used to be a place which was livable, but‐

now, the burning paradise you've created

is nothing more than a grave to house my future.

By your hands you've made the quality of life fall to that which is in equality with torture.

Calling on Despair as your ally

and using Time as your instrument of destruction,

soon there will be nothing left‐

and all by your order...

Giving my heart your instruction,

again and again,

you lot have become a worst case scenario combination‐

refining your "art" in redefining the term, merciless...

Killing me...

again, again, and again.

Why have you chosen me?

Desire,

as a vessel to show your wrath...

as a mouth to speech your evil deeds...

taking from me, my dreams

using my fears against me,

and blocking the light from my eyes‐

What have I reaped to sow in tears?

Desire,

When will you be finished?

Why must I continue to die?

Is every day necessary?

When will you be done with me?

Why must you keep killing me?...

again, again, and again.

About the Creator

Josh Morgan

Personally, writing began as a creative outlet, to be a means of processing and venting emotion, but it has become so much more. Something I want not to be just relatable, enjoyable and a good read, but to reach someone who is in need.
