Killer Love

A touch that scorches, lips that stain,

Her love a weapon, disguised as flame.

He held her close, blind to the burn,

Never knowing he’d yearn and yearn.

Her voice, sweet venom in his veins,

Whispered promises laced with chains.

He drank it down, a willing fool,

Bound by a fire that turned him cruel.

She took his heart, then bled it dry,

Left it brittle beneath the sky.

Love became a broken glass,

Shattered dreams, a shadowed past.

The man he was fell piece by piece,

Consumed by flames that would not cease.

No dawn, no light, no peace within—

Just empty echoes of what had been.

Now he drifts in endless night,

A ghost of love’s consuming blight.

For love that kills leaves no reprieve,

And broken men are doomed to grieve.
