Killer Kelpies Kill
Learn Lessons Little Lads and Lassies
You might feel a sense of remorse
If you end up near a water source
Since if you don't beware
And spy a shy mare
You might learn that it's not a horse
She might appear gentle or sick
Since her method of hunting's quite slick
She pretends to be shy
When she's really sly
You're doomed if she gets you to stick
Once stuck, she won't let you be freed
It's on your flesh that she wants to feed
You add to her death toll
And help feed her foals
She's even ensnared healthy steeds
Two kids saw one, once, in the mist
Once stuck they flailed but could not resist
The kid on her back drowned
As she pulled them down
The other kid sliced off their wrist
Two brothers' fates, darker than soot
Were once swimming when danger's afoot
They stuck to her like glue
One kicked off his shoe
He fled, but she bit off his foot
A young lass was taking a dip
When the Nightmare's back clung to her hips
Drowning, she did the dance
Wiggled out her pants
But the swamp beast gnawed off her lips
A young lad had also been mauled
He had to escape his overalls
It attacked the lad's groin
And bit off a loin
Lad survived with a cock and ball
A boatman struck one with paddles
His boat sank, forcing him to straddle
He's no ill-prepared fool
He had quite the tool
He rode it out on a saddle
He spurred the beast up to the top
He kept spurring, not letting it stop
The rider did blind her
He gave her blinders
He then rode her to the glue shop
Don't swim in water that's kelpy
Avoid where you need to scream "Help ME!"
There are few fates far worse
Than drowned by the horse
Please learn to avoid the kelpie
Thavien's Token: Dharrsheena asked for a limerick of some sorts in the comments' section of "If I Build It."
Having crafted poems already about the Black Shuck and Baskerville respectively, I figured to write some dark limericks about another dark fairy.
I hope you enjoyed it, and if you liked it, why not give these ones a read. If you'd like to as well, tell me what you'd like to see from "If I Build It."

Well-wrought! When dealing with the fae, we must always seek to allay for on our fears they feed, as with your hungry steed!
"A young lad had also been mauled He had to escape his overalls It attacked the lad's groin And bit off a loin Lad survived with a cock and ball" Hahahahahahahahaha this one is my favourite! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
