Kid Playing On the Beach

It's poignant spectacle

Something poignant

about a curious kid,

building a sandcastle

on the sparse beach.

The foamy surf laps

the shoreline,

with a rhythmic,

soothing marine melody.

The sun casts

a golden reflection,

and long shadows

as it prepares to dive.

The whole scene

feels like a riddle—

a juxtaposition of opposites:

tiny kid and vast ocean,

finite, ephemeral

human life

against infinite, eternal

sunsets.

It will be dark soon.

Everything will be silhouette.

But while breathing,

we should play—

with joy and cheer,

with awe and wonder,

immersing in the

natural beauty around.

This is refreshing and beautiful and now I want to be at the beach.
