quadru-haiku on loneliness

sittin’ in silence
hour after hour after hour
alone at the desk
*
no soul to talk to
no soul to hold on to, yet
they all gathered here
*
their voices quite loud
they shout over each other
flames flare in the air
*
I’m tryin’ to grasp
still sittin’ in the dark when
bright morning greets me
