Keys may unveil truths best hidden.--Michelle Liew's tattooable

By fire formed, in iron vowed

The task to open gates allowed

By craftsman's hand, and whispered will

I opened doors to dreams fulfilled.

πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ§·πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ§·πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈ

I turned in palms, both bare and filled

Opened chests and doors to guilt

Each twist my tale, and lock my stage

I was the writer of the page

πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ§·πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ§·πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈ

And then--a door to tearful eyes

A cellar filled with muffled cries

I turned, to understand, too late--

To abject horrors, abject hate

πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ§·πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ§·πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈ

And then, I jammed. The man turned red.

He stomped on me--"Useless," he said

But I saw what his locks concealed

Not all truths are apt to feel

πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ§·πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ§·πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈ

Discarded, I lay in his cove

Beside a knife, a rope, a glove

Overcome by rain, by rust

By stinging pain, by damaged trust

πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ§·πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ§·πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”‘πŸ”πŸ—οΈπŸ”πŸ”‘πŸ—οΈ

In still silence, I now lie bidden

"Keys may unveil truths best hidden."

Striking work, Michelle! The darkness of the metaphor is powerful.
