Kaleidoscope
Senses and colors

I see: the world unfold, a painted dreamscape. Magnificent, wonderous
I hear: leaves speak secrets to the wind and nature drum a giddy lullaby
I smell: fragrant sensory colors, redolent after the rain, a sweet melody
I taste: on my tongue, colliding flavors wrapped in warmth by the sea
I touch: fingers exploring; rough/smooth. Life’s tangible poetry...divine.

Beneath the moon’s soft veil, I hear the willows weep
I touch its branches trailing in the midnight breeze
Each leaf a tear, each sight a bough with secrets kept
Does the ancient tree itself believe that sorrow tastes bitter in shadows
Yes... they smell the fragrant wisps of love, of loss, and of fleeting dreams.

A nightingale unfolds its tender song. Its melody a sound like silken thread
Through the darkness, hearts are touched, as the weight of sorrow is lifted
Color and taste unfurl healing of hearts and soothing of souls in pain
One sees a moonlit reverie spun into poetic words of gold
The aroma of life resonates from the depths of imagination.
