Kaleidoscope

Poem by Ellessia Kinmon

By Ellessia KinmonPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

Red is for the lives I help bring into this world in the operating room

Yellow is for my sunny and pleasant personality that sends a warm welcome to those who may need a little light to shine through their grey clouds

Blue is for the oceans, lakes and rivers I frequent to bask in my element and relax my mind

Pink is for my innocent inner child that is now free to express herself without fear of judgment

Green is for the trees I visit to hug and exchange energy’s with when no one is around

Purple is for the conversations I have with God and my spirit family that strengthen my divine connection to the spirit realm

Orange is for the beautiful places I’ve visited in my dreams that I’ve never actually seen in waking life

Black is for the darkness where I’ve dwelled for so long until I learned to heal and free myself

And White is for the light which I have illuminated within me to help others find a way out of their own darkness

You see, I am the diamond reflected in the sun. A kaleidoscope of colors that touches every surface in its vicinity and blesses it with a beauty only seen in the light but fades at night because no matter how precious the diamond is, it remains a multifaceted gem in a world of jewel thieves.
