Kaleidoscope

I tend to lean toward nonconformity when asked to fit in a box ,

You asked to tell my unique tail, but that story I shall not

I’d like to take this opportunity to show how we are one

Despite the kaleidoscope of color that identify us , humanity is defined by none.

Colors of our flags, our skin, our nations, can cause so much division

I’d like to focus on what unites us, a different kind of colorful vision.

See, as a semi hippy, enthusiast of sorts, the colors of the 7 chakras come to mind

See, we all have within us 7 colors , 7 energies, 7 kinds

We all inhabit the colors of the rainbow within the spiritual sphere

Each one represents an organ, a feeling, a healing for each tier.

So no matter our religion, our gender or orientation

Our spiritual colors make us one nation

Our throat chakra is blue, our heart chakra, green

No matter if I’m white, you’re black, or something in between.

Our souls, our humanity, ours hearts, they connect us,

But color can often come and divide us.

Let’s let those colors of spirit , those colors of soul

Unite us together, once and for all.
