K-12
no one's watching us, don't give a fuck
I’m quietly observing,
My schoolmates are acting wild.
*
The staff’s blatant negligence is unnerving,
I punched a girl and I smiled.
Realized the principal is so self-serving,
Everything is left unreconciled.
Don’t want to feel like I’m overserving,
*
Ogling me until I’m completely dogpiled.
Freedom from this place is well sought after,
*
Wishing to be ditching, it’s all such a disaster.
I offend you with every word I say,
Stop being so sensitive, you’re ruining my day.
“Hoes, sluts, and whores,” I’m still adjusting,
I only wanted to dress my way, why use words so disgusting?
Nice girl, nice boy, I don't trust you,
Go away, go away, my heart you won’t cut through.
*
In the bathroom, I hide,
*
Wishing I could tell you that your eyes lied.
Always right and always wrong,
So sick and tired of the same old song.
*
“Don’t call me crazy, you’re only fifteen,
I saw you and your teacher high on dopamine.”
This is the life, these are the days,
Can't say finding your soulmate is all of the craze.
Health will never be the same,
Inner thoughts will always fill me with shame.
Never going to fit in, never going to try,
Gonna leave this up to you, was anything I just said a lie?

Check out Melanie Martinez’s “K-12” album; every two lines are connected to a song from it, for the most part.

Good job on the school essay of today for the most part.
Gurllll, you're soooo good at these Acrostics! As always, it had such a smooth flow and you made it rhyme as well. So well done!
