Just let go
You can start again.
When the waters get choppy
and it feels like you can't catch your breath,
it's okay to stop swimming.
They taught us that in swim class-
remember?
Just let go,
lay back,
spread your arms
and you'll float.
Let your body do the work
and trust that you're okay
as you focus on your breath
and the waves bob you up and down.
And when you're ready,
and your breath has returned,
and you've regained your strength,
you can start again.
