Every dish has been molded.

Created and designed for use.

Some for kings and queens—

Others for every day humanity.

All have been assigned their use.

Many have been shattered,

Some broken,

A few cracked.

All have been altered.

Many have been thrown away,

Some have been glued, filed, painted.

Few, simply disregard those cracks.

I enjoy Mosaic, though.

Not restoration,

Not disregard,

Not being thrown out as if the pieces are useless.

Not even a master piece of high and great value.

Just art.

The freedom of recreation, not perfection.

A creation from one’s own mind, wisdom, intelligence, and strength.

Art and beauty.

Purpose and light.

Colors and design.

Freedom to be broken — and — beautiful, at the same time.
