Just Another Death by Drugs
How many will die before this stops?

Just Another Death by Drugs
He sat alone, screen glowing bright,
Scrolling through the endless night.
A father, husband, someone’s son—
Now his final post is done.
Pills and powders, silent foes,
Whispers only the addict knows.
The web, a friend that never sleeps,
it offers no hand when one weeps.
No headlines scream, no banners wave,
Just a quiet, early grave.
A life once full, family is now torn apart,
Leaves behind so many grieving hearts.
His family shocked, their world upturned,
A lesson harsh, too late to learn.
They never thought he’d fall so far,
Now they bear a lasting scar.
Just another Death By Drugs.

This is truly sad, Marie, and you are right - happening too often and entirely preventable.
Another great expression of deep sentiment. It happens all too often these days.
Way to sad and I think society in a way is really starting not to care about this issue for it seems that one can make their own choices on anything and everything
Very well written
The plague of our times. You portrayed the pain caused by such an event beautifully and with talent. Woe to anyone who has such problems in their family. These are very difficult things.
Great work, very deep
