Just a Rose in a Field of Poppies
We can all live as one

Just a Rose in a Field of Poppies
I bloomed where no one thought I might,
Among the poppies, bold and bright.
They danced in scarlet, wild and free,
god somehow made a place for me.
poppies petals soft, their laughter wide,
They never pushed my thorns aside.
They let me grow, they let me be,
A single rose in company.
I wasn’t like the rest, I know,
But still they watched me gently grow.
No need to change, no need to hide,
They welcomed me with quiet pride.
The sun felt warm, the breeze was kind.
No one was left or placed behind.
The poppies sang, I held my stem,
And learned to bloom right next to them.
I did not shine the way they do,
I stood in peace beneath the blue.
A rose alone, I’d never cope,
But in their red, I found my hope.
So if you ever feel apart,
Like you don’t match or miss the start,
Just grow your way, and you will see,
The world is wide enough for all to be.

This is the way everyone should be one way or another. Good job.
What a wonderful analogy of living your own life and not giving up. Very nice, Marie.💗💗
