Just a Love Shot
Love in one moment, then gone in the next.
Love is like a melody,
Like how dawn turns to dusk.
A merry fragrance that gently wafts through the room,
und your heart gently. Mellow warmth trances the senses.
A jolt; starting with a tingle. A tug, a pull.
It tightens, heart writhing, a new desire born anew.
You try to hide it. To fight the thoughts furiously surfacing.
But that painful pull, you begin to give in curiously.
Wonder floats to the surface. Anxiety unfurls into ‘what if’?
Slowly wrapping your senses that dull;
lulled into rapture, with almost carnal desire.
You blink, you watch.
With slowed breaths and thudding heart throbs.
Eyes hypnotised within the warm embrace of her gaze,
she catches your sighs as you find yourself in a daze.
Cradling your sight with beautiful amber eyes.
Ecstasy strangles your lungs, breathing slows with desperate pleas.
Tongue-tied and entrapped, your feet refuse to leave.
You want to get closer, but want becomes need.
A helpless urge that makes you weak to your knees.
But then it stops, and your hearts falls short.
Her gaze starts to drop, and the tune dwindles.
Riddled with guilt as you’ve now lost your chance.
And now that love is all gone.
