Just a girl try'n to do her best

In a world looking out for itself

Struggling to do her best

With her God given best

Not using the face or breast

Fake accessorizing or power of the behind

Feline wiles or manipulating schemes

Just a girl try'n to make her way

Try'n to use the box upstairs

That the creator might be praised

Hopefully expecting, fully convinced

The talents, gifts, skills and intelligence

Knowledge, wisdom, intellect and blessings

Aptly used would attract

And make a way for a girl a'waiting her day

To stand before the kings and not mere men

Who unfortunately have their backs turned

Too busy with the world and worldly gain

Just a girl try'n to do her best

In a world that's turned its back

On good o'l goodwill, hard work and labour

Preferring to reward vice, useless ventures and meaningless tripes

And pay pennies to hapless labourers in dire straits and need

In a world magically expecting that good would come of such suppression, angst and dissatisfaction
