Just a Bunch of Star Stuff

What do you see in the mirror?

You began as the cosmos, but you forgot.

we all began...

cosmos, universals, galaxies, planetary and star systems

continents formed, countries, states, cities, towns, houses

years, months, days, hours, minutes, seconds

You.

birth, life, death

You,

are the cosmos

You:

this precious little meat suit,

this genetic structure that

walks around just

being and

reflecting the vast all

You:

this miracle of galactic proportions

this form

with its lumps

smoothness, rhythms

rigidities, color

pallor, life

essence, infinity

Forget the inevitable taxes and decomposition of

this form

this eternal, yet finite structure

this You.

matters of the flesh

exist

but only to remind

You

that this is your home

for now.

what do

You

want to do with

Your:

life, death, birth

seconds, minutes, hours, days, months, years

houses, towns, cities, states, countries, continents formed

planetary and star systems, galaxies, universals, cosmos

beginnings?

You began as the cosmos, but you forgot.
